SuperGold and SuperSilver Microarray Substrate Slides provide superior 500 Å gold and silver layer surfaces, respectively, for microarrays, surface plasmon resonance, nanotechnology, electrochemistry, biosensors, and other high-end applications. The manufacturing process begins with our atomically smooth polished glass as the substrate and constructs the 500 Å gold or silver layers using an ultra-durable adhesion layer attachment approach. The SuperGold K and SuperSilver K series provide 2000 Å gold and silver layer surfaces, respectively, for applications requiring thicker Au and Ag surface thickness.

Congratulations on taking a big step towards improving your microarray and advanced technology research. This booklet contains complete protocols outlining the steps required to use ArrayIt® SuperGold and SuperSilver Microarray Substrates.

Product Description
ArrayIt® provides the world’s only gold or silver surfaces on atomically flat glass substrate slides. Our innovative, high-end SuperGold and SuperSilver Substrates make gold-surface and silver-surface based assays rapid, affordable, easy to implement, and the data obtained will be superior to other products in the field. Users will appreciate the following features:

  • 500 Å layer of pure gold or pure silver for superior performance
  • 2000 Å layer thickness available in the SuperGold K and SuperSilver K series

Figure 1.  SuperGold Microarray Substrate in a class 1 cleanroom. The 500 Å gold layer on the atomically flat glass substrate is readily visible. The SMG5 product is manufactured and packaged in a cleanroom environment, and is provided in boxes of 5 pieces for affordability and ease-of-use. Make sure to use the top (gold) side of the substrate only.  The gold is deposited on the side corresponding to the cropped (chamfer) located in the upper right of the substrate as shown in the photograph.

Figure 2. Arrayit SuperGold Microplate Glass (Cat. CCSL) with atomically smooth glass in standard 1 x 75 x 110 mm microplate size dimensions sputtered with a thin layer of atomic gold. Gold-coated microplate glass can be used in conjunction with adhesive microplates for a wide variety of research, life sciences, diagnostics and pharmaceutical applications.
