Contoured pin apertures (shown here) reduce printing friction by 66% and tighten printhead-pin clearance to 2.5 µm for superior durability and printing precision. Pro Series pins are constructed from Arrayit's proprietary RM101 alloy, which is 10- times more durable than stainless steel, ensuring 10 million printing cycles and faster printing speeds. Printheads are manufactured to 1.25 µm tolerances for superior subgrid alignments yielding faster and more accurate microarray quantification. Our proprietary holders guide the pin shafts with 66% less friction than previous Printhead designs. Professional Printheads are available for the all Arrayit SpotBot® 2 and NanoPrint™ microarrayers, and other commercial systems.
