TeleChem International, Inc. receives Rising Star Award from the City of Sunnyvale in 2003.

Sunnyvale, CA, November 14, 2003 – On November 13th, the City of Sunnyvale, California honored the city’s top companies in the 2003 “Rising Star Award” ceremony, and TeleChem International, Inc. was chosen for the second consecutive year.  The City of Sunnyvale Economic Development Department and the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce sponsored the luncheon. Economic Development Manager Karen Davis, Mayor Julia Miller, Chamber of Commerce Chairperson Michael Klein, City Manager Robert LaSala, and Chamber of Commerce President Suzi Blackman gave speeches at the ceremony. TeleChem International, Inc. was one of 16 companies to receive the Rising Star award. Other awardees included world famous Internet portal Yahoo! Inc. and the microfluidics and microelectronic fusion company Cepheid.

Todd Martinsky, Vice President and co-founder of TeleChem International, Inc. received the award at the Windham Hotel in Sunnyvale.  Mr. Martinsky had this to say about the company’s current string of awards in 2003.  "This year has certainly seen its challenges, but 2003 has brought the company the most impressive list of accolades to date.  We received national recognition as an Inc. 500 recipient and regional recognition from the Silicon Valley 100 earlier in the year.  I guess the Rising Star award from the City of Sunnyvale gives us the “triple crown” this year.  This is a breathtaking time technologically, and as the father of two young boys, I am personally tuned into the need for the best healthcare possible.  This is why we have done our best to get our ArrayIt® products into the hands of researchers who can push the forefronts of science and medicine forward. As we unravel the mysteries of the human genome, improved neonatal care, drugs and diagnostics will be forthcoming. We are in a nice position strategically because as a private business, we can determine our own destiny in terms of product focus, pricing, and partnering. This past year has been the best year in TeleChem’s history and we are going to do everything we can to make 2004 an even better year. I want to personally thank our entire team for a job well done."
